Many people know of God. Regardless of whether they follow Him or not, many people appreciate the fact that there is a God.

When someone ‘knows of’ a person, they receive a limited version of that individual. 'Knowing of' someone means that you’ve probably received information about that individual from a third party or you have had limited one-to-one contact with that individual. When you ‘know of’ someone, that person is classified as an acquaintance and not necessarily a friend. The extent to which you will sacrifice for that individual is quite restricted.

Many people, including Christians, just 'know of' God. They do not know God for themselves. In their entire lifetime, they have only relied on information from others about the Lordship and supremacy of our God. They do not have a personal conviction about the deity, God nor have they had supernatural personal encounters that have persuaded them that God truly exists and that this thing we are doing, is not for show. This is also exactly why some Christians can’t do much for God. They just 'know of' Him. They do not have a personal relationship with the Lord so it is honestly a struggle for them to sacrifice for Him.

Unfortunately, the reality of the matter is, only those who know God are children of God. Every parent knows their child and every child knows their parent(s). To be a child of God, you must know God and not just know of Him. God is not your local celeb that wants to relate with everyone from a distance. He desires intimacy with His creation, more than you know.

How to know God.

Obviously be born again first (John 3:3, Romans 10:9).

Next is to have the desire for it. God will only fill empty vessels. Pray for the hunger and desire to know God more. Next, it is simple: pray, read your Bible daily and go to church. Lastly, befriend the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the only One who will help you accomplish all these steps.

We must know God. We must all have that personal conviction that yes, indeed, God is real and He reigns supreme. Every problem you have in this life will be sorted when you know God.

Dear Lord,
I pray that you will give me the desire to know You more. Help me to go deeper and help me to never settle. There are deeper wells to draw from so lead me, o Holy Spirit.
In Jesus’ name
Amen

John 3:16

For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life.

Romans 6:23

For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Salvation is a gift. You do not work to be saved. You believe to be saved.

Easter commemorates the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. This event stands to be the best thing that has ever happened to mankind.

Our sinful nature leads to death, spiritually and eternally. However, it is not God’s will that any man should perish (2 Peter 3:9) but that all should come to repentance. By repenting and believing that Christ took your place on the cross and that He resurrected, you’ll be saved.

Everyone needs Jesus Christ because everyone needs to be saved from eternal damnation and the consequences of their sinful nature.

Easter is not an annual ritual where Christians go to church for 3 consecutive days. We celebrate this monumental occurrence in history because it changed the eternal destination of many and still is.

Accept Jesus Christ as your Lord personal saviour for He alone is the Way, the Truth and the life. Eternal life is found in no other person than Jesus Christ

Numbers 23:19
“God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?

Matthew 24:35
Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.

God is a promise giver and He keeps His promises. He has placed His Word above His name (Psalm 138:2). This shows the extent to which God will keep His word.

I want to encourage someone today. Whatever the Lord has said concerning you, it will surely come to pass. I am not just reiterating an anthem you’ve probably heard over and over again. I am speaking from a place of conviction and experience. It is not of His nature to lie. That divine plan God has for you shall come to pass when you stay faithful to Him.

Let’s look at Joseph. He had a spectacular dream but it took almost 13 years for that dream to manifest physically. But Joseph never forsook God. He understood the nature of God and so he held onto the promise of God.

Hold on, don’t lose faith, God will definitely keep His Word concerning you. Hebrews 11:6 reminds us that our Lord is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Your labour is not in vain and God will reward you publicly for all you’ve done for Him privately (Matthew 6:18).

Cheer up, and be of good faith, God is on your side!

Speak to you soon :)
