a reminder
John 3:3
Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again”
I feel like a lot of us live for today and not tomorrow. We are so focused on worldly matters that we forget that there’s something bigger at hand. Whether you accept it or not, this world will come to an end one day. The way we live our lives in this world will determine how we’ll live in the next.
After the fall of man in the garden ( Genesis 3), God has provided a way for man to return to the state where we at before the fall. He has allowed us to be born again.
To be born again isn’t just saying the sinners prayer but living a life that testifies of that prayer. When you’re born again, people should see something different about you. You’re a new creation.
Sometimes, I also feel like there’s an idea that only some people should be on fire for God, it becomes some sort of personally trait. But that’s not the case. In John 3:16, the Word says "for God so loved the WORLD" , not the pastor's kids, not the one who never cheated on a test but the world, every single person.
Jesus Christ came to die for your sins so that your eternal fate would change. As Jesus said in John 3, the truth of the matter is, if you are not born again, you’ll not spend eternity with Christ, you’ll spend it with the devil ( and we all know where he ends up, in the lake of fire).
Now, God doesn’t want this for you. That’s why, He sent Jesus. God manifested His love greatly by sending Christ ( Romans 5:8) and today He’s asking you to repent and live a life solely dedicated to Him and His glory. It won’t be easy but remember we don’t live for today but always have eternity in mind. The rapture will happen any time soon and nobody wants to be found left behind knowing well that the truth was presented to them.
If you acknowledge you’re a sinner and acknowledge that maybe you’ve never said the sinner's prayer or maybe you have but the life you’re living doesn’t show that you’re dedicated to Jesus Christ and you would like to re-dedicate your life to Christ, say this prayer.
