Sitting at His feet

Some months ago, I wrote a post on how our posture before the Lord eventually determines how our relationship with Him will turn out.

As a Christian, the best place to be is at the feet of the Lord.

When we find ourselves at the feet of the Lord, we are pushed to worship because we see a glimpse of His beauty. We are pushed to worship because we stand in awe of His magnificence. Being at His feet humbles us because we understand how big He is and how small we are. Being at His feet allows us to appreciate His greatness more and pushes us to praise Him (because such a big God is fully invested in our personal lives and daily affairs). Additionally, when at His feet, we are blessed with direct revelations from the Lord concerning our lives and those around us.

Sitting at the feet of Jesus is synonymous to spending quality time with the Lord. Sitting at His feet isn’t a rushed process but one that requires all your attention. We must intentionally make time to spend time in this secret place where we humble ourselves and allow the Spirit of God to lead us into that place of intimacy.

Spending your time with Jesus is the best thing you could ever do for yourself.

I pray that we’ll be like Mary in Luke 10:38-39 ( TPT)

“As Jesus and the disciples continued on their journey, they came to a village where a woman welcomed Jesus into her home. Her name was Martha and she had a sister named Mary. Mary sat down attentively before the Master, absorbing every revelation he shared.”
