Sometimes as Christians we fail to walk in the fullness of what Christ has called us to. Romans 5:17 tells us that, through Jesus, we have received an abundance of grace. The Word has so many promises attached to our inheritance as children of God but why don’t we see these promises being fulfilled?

  • The first issue is our lack of prayer. God is a spirit so when He speaks, He speaks into the spiritual realm and then the words are manifested into the physical realm. When Jesus calms the storms in Mark 4:35-41, He speaks to the waters , correct. But we need to understand it that Jesus was probably speaking to the principalities that caused the storm. *Just to clear up any confusion, we need to be aware of the fact that things don’t just happen but there’s a spiritual reason behind every physical manifestation ( In Revelation 6, as the seven seals are broken, different awful situations break out, hinting at the fact that principalities control situations )*. So God is a spirit that means His Words are spiritual. To tap into these promises, we must transport ourselves into the original realm of the promises, which is the spiritual realm. Prayer is an open door to the spiritual realm. As we pray, we stay connected to the inner man and allow the Holy Spirit to move and have His way. Prayer unlocks a lot and I strongly pray that as we spend more time in that secret place of prayer, promises will start being fulfilled in Jesus’ name.

  • The second issue is that we don’t read the Word of God so we don’t even know the promises attached to our names. Joshua 1:8 says “ Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful”. Look at how God tells us what to do so plainly🤩. In addition to this, Jesus also prompts us in Luke 4:4 "... saying, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God””. We must live on the word of God and allow it to dictate our steps.

I pray that in this month of February, we’ll all walk in the light God has called us to. I pray that we won’t allow sickness or disease or any sort of infirmity hinder us from progressing in life. Lastly I pray that we walk in the authority Jesus Christ has given us as stated in Luke 10:19.

See you next time!
